Java is a programming language which is widely used these days in most of the projects. Considering this, the Computer Society conducted a workshop on JAVA on 3rd and 4th March. This workshop was conducted by Mandar Pathak, a third year. I.T. student who is also the Chief Technical Officer (Software) of IEEE-TSEC. He was assisted by Harshal Sharma who is also a third year I.T. student.

The workshop was mainly attended by students from first year and a considerable number of second year students too. On the first day both the instructors first explained the basics of the programming language to the students. They then went ahead and explained individual programs to them. The students were then allowed to use individual computers and execute the programs discussed. The instructors then continued to solve individual doubts of the students. On the second day, the workshop began in a similar fashion. Although on the second day, the doubt solving session was the main highlight.

The workshop was attended by a large number of students and was a great success. The workshop proved to be a major help to all the students as it would greatly assist them in their academics. Certificates were later distributed to the students on behalf of IEEE-TSEC COMPUTER SOCIETY for attending the seminar. Computer Society now aims to conduct many such workshops for the benefit of its members.
