Conatus

CONATUS at IEEE-TSEC is our first purely technical team which provides a platform for technically inclined students to demonstrate their technical wizardry and skills. It encourages them to take part in various technical competitions all over India and guides them to excel. It enables members to interact with fellow enthusiasts and enrich their knowledge thus helping them keep pace with the Technological Boom.

To empower every member with the technical know-how required to be the Future Professional Technocrat.

Mission

Crafting teams in top form in order to participate and win inter-collegiate technical contests and bag laurels for the society and institution.

Structure

The technical team is divided into Hardware and Software teams. The hardware team participates in Robotics and Open Hardware contests. The Software team participates in Programming, Web Designing and Technical Paper Presentations. In addition to this there are contests like Technical Quizzes and Management Simulations.

Who can be a Conatus member?

Any IEEE-TSEC member who is: Willing to share and gain knowledge. A creative thinker. And a keen learner.

Achievements

The conatus team of IEEE-TSEC has to its credit a large number of prizes covering a spectrum of subjects.

  • Sagar Nagda(Chief Technical Officer IEEE-TSEC 2007) won "UPSILON PI EPSILON" international award for academic excellence of IEEE computer Society. Till date he is the only Mumbaikar to get it. He is only the 5th Indian to get it. This award was started in 1994.
  • DBIT : Mandar Pathak and Gaurav Dadhich won second prize in Web Designing,at DBIT,Mumbai.
  • AUTOMAZE '07 (Shah and Anchor Engineering College): 2nd prize in autonomous Robotics event won by Ajay Nair, Akshay Pinto and Rohit Nair
  • Reached the top 25 at IIT Bombay Techfest for Micromouse
  • ABHIYANTRIKI ( K.J.Somaiya College of Engineering) : 1st in Web Designing Competition
  • CRESCENDO (Fr.C.R.College of Engineering): 2nd in Web Designing Competition, 2nd in Tech Quiz.
  • GIGA ( A.C.Patil College of Engineering) : 1st in Tech Quiz, 1st in Programming Contest
