IES was the first society formed under the threshold of the IEEE and thus holds the distinction of being one of the oldest and most recognized societies in the world. IEEE-IES prides itself on its members being at the forefront of all technological developments in varied fields ranging from ROBOTICS to APPLIED ELECTRONICS. IEEE-IES conducts two annual festivals- SPARK and TECHTRIX.

TECHTRIX: It comprises mainly technical events which aides its members with improving theirpractical knowledge and makes them more tech-friendly. The events within the realm of TECHTRIX are PC assembly, MATLAB and PSPICE workshops, and a seminar on Digital Sound Engineering.

SPARK: SPARK helps students realise their long-term goals by conducting a range of Career Oriented seminars. SPARK also includes workshops and race events on all the three levels of ROBOTICS
